Amos Turner produces conceptual design work to enrich spaces through music, graphics, moving images and events. Some of his clients and collaborators include Erykah Badu, Serato, and INDEX:Records.

Amos specialises in creative direction within the world of electronic music. Here he shapes visual identities, orchestrates events, creates music videos, and constructs visuals for vinyl, cassette, and digital release. Beyond audiovisual production, Amos has experience working on film sets, at festivals and crafting a variety of content for online and print.

Under the pseudonym King Softy, Amos has released multiple singles and the EPs Traverse Mode (2021) and HAIR-CLIP (2022). He has performed in NZ, the UK, the US and Europe, where he is a resident at the Berlin club Kwia. As co-producer of the Downstairs People project the alias Smudge emerged under which Amos performs improvised plunderphonic live sets.

My creative journey is anchored in a genuine love for music. I’m inspired by diverse international artists, technical nuances in digital production, and collaborative practice. I enjoy hands-on involvement, contributing from early concepts to final outcomes. This approach has not only enriched my professional portfolio but is a catalyst for my growth as both an artist and designer.
